How to port your phone numbers out of REsimpli
Can I take my phone numbers with me when I leave REsimpli?
Your REsimpli numbers are provisioned through Twilio under REsimpli's own account, and REsimpli's terms say port-out follows the carrier's requirements and REsimpli's procedures. Start the port from the provider you are moving to, ask REsimpli support in writing for the account details it needs, register texting on the new side early, and keep REsimpli active until every number has moved.

- Twilio, under REsimpli's account
- Port-out rules
- Carrier requirements plus REsimpli's procedures
- Texting on the new side
- A2P 10DLC registration, around 2 to 4 weeks
- Cancel REsimpli
- Only after every number has ported and been tested

For many investors the phone numbers matter more than the software. Sellers call back the number on the postcard. REsimpli’s terms put those numbers on REsimpli’s own carrier account, which is normal for an all-in-one platform and means leaving takes a little planning. This is the order that keeps every number working.
-
List your numbers and what each one does
Note every campaign, buyer, agent and general number, and decide which to keep. Numbers you do not need can simply be released later.
-
Choose where the numbers are going
Pick the carrier, dialer or calling setup that will own the numbers, and start its texting registration now, because carrier review takes weeks.
-
Ask REsimpli for the port-out details in writing
The numbers sit on REsimpli’s carrier account, so the account details a port request needs come from REsimpli. Ask support how it handles port-out and what it will provide.
-
Submit the port with your new provider
The provider you are moving to files the port request, using the details from REsimpli and a signed letter of authorization.
-
Test every number before you cancel
Keep REsimpli active until each number rings, receives texts and sends texts from the new provider.
-
Rebuild routing, then cancel REsimpli
Recreate call flows, voicemail and campaign tracking on the new side, then cancel. Porting after the account closes is the risk to avoid.
Why are REsimpli numbers harder to move?
Because you are not the carrier’s customer. REsimpli’s terms say numbers “are provisioned through Twilio under REsimpli’s account,” and that “port-out, number release, and post-cancellation handling are subject to applicable provider requirements and REsimpli’s then-current procedures.” A port request has to describe the account the numbers sit on today, so REsimpli is part of every port-out. REsimpli documents porting numbers in, with a letter of authorization, a porting file, a recent invoice and a PIN, but publishes no article on porting out. Its port-in guide does carry the rule that matters in reverse: “Your account with your current provider must stay active until the port is complete. Cancelling early can cause the request to fail.”
Can REsimpli numbers go straight into HubSpot?
Possibly, and more simply than a normal port. HubSpot’s porting article says: “Porting numbers from platforms that also use Twilio as the calling provider do not require an LOA or additional documentation. These requests require less steps and are known as porting transfers.” REsimpli’s numbers run on Twilio, so they may qualify, but it depends on REsimpli releasing them, so confirm with both sides before you plan around it. HubSpot porting needs Sales Hub or Service Hub Starter or higher, takes two to four weeks for US numbers, and handles up to 100 numbers per submission.
What should you ask REsimpli for?
Ask support, in writing, three things: how REsimpli handles port-out requests for your numbers, which account details your new provider will need, and whether anything on your account, such as a renewal or unpaid charges, affects the timing. Keep the reply with your migration notes.
Why register texting before the port?
US carriers require A2P 10DLC registration before a business can text from local numbers, and that registration sits with whichever provider sends the messages. REsimpli’s own article puts carrier review at around two to four weeks and says outbound texts do not go out until it is approved. Starting registration on the new side before the port finishes keeps a gap from opening in your seller follow-up.
How does this fit into leaving REsimpli?
Porting runs alongside your data export and ends before cancellation. The cancellation guide has the full order, and if you are moving to HubSpot the migration page shows where number porting and texting registration sit in the plan.
Why this matters to users
you don't own the numbers you use in their system (and pay for monthly) so they have you locked in if you're thinking about switching CRM's.
More questions
Can I take my phone numbers when I leave REsimpli?
The terms allow for port-out but say it follows the carrier's requirements and REsimpli's then-current procedures, and REsimpli publishes no port-out article. Ask support to confirm the process for your account in writing before you plan around a date.
How long does it take to port numbers out of REsimpli?
REsimpli publishes no port-out timeline. Its own article on porting numbers in allows anywhere from a few business days to four weeks, and texting registration on the new side takes around two to four weeks, so start both early.
What happens to my numbers if I cancel REsimpli first?
REsimpli's terms say number release and post-cancellation handling follow its procedures. A closed account is the wrong place to start a port, so keep REsimpli active until every number has moved.
Do I have to register texting again after porting?
In practice, yes. US carriers require A2P 10DLC registration for business texting from local numbers, and it sits with the provider sending the messages. REsimpli's own article says outbound texts do not go out until registration is approved.
Can I port my REsimpli numbers into HubSpot?
HubSpot accepts ports on Sales Hub or Service Hub Starter and up, up to 100 numbers per submission, and says US ports take two to four weeks. Numbers from platforms that also use Twilio can move as a porting transfer with no letter of authorization, so REsimpli numbers may qualify. Confirm with both sides.
Where else can the numbers go?
Any carrier or calling provider that accepts ports, such as a VoIP carrier or a dialer connected to your CRM. Choose the calling setup first, because it decides where the numbers land and who registers your texting.
