REsimpli to HubSpot migration: what moves, what needs a workaround, and how

An independent guide by Prash Prabagaran and Sean Katz at Sector Growth, a HubSpot partner. Not affiliated with REsimpli. Updated .

Can I move my REsimpli data to HubSpot without losing my history?

Yes, with planning. On REsimpli 6.0 the Open API reads leads, buyers, agents, vendors, call logs, appointments and files, and every pipeline exports from the Export Log. Those records become HubSpot contacts, deals and dated activity, and phone numbers can be ported. Notes, texts and recordings have no documented export yet, so we test them before we quote.

A REsimpli account is more than its leads. It is years of notes on sellers, call logs, text threads, offers, tasks and the automations that kept follow-up moving. A migration is worth doing only if that history arrives with its dates and owners intact, and only if you know in advance which parts REsimpli will let out. This page covers both.

What moves from REsimpli to HubSpot?

Everything REsimpli’s Open API and exports reach, mapped to where it belongs in HubSpot. The second column is the route out of REsimpli; the third is where it lands.

Routes documented by REsimpli as of September 2026. Activity marked as tested is confirmed with your read-only key before we quote.
Data Route out of REsimpli Lands in HubSpot as
Sellers and co-owners Lead details through the Open API, and pipeline exports Contacts, with co-owners linked to each deal
Leads and properties Lead list and details, filterable by pipeline and status Deals in pipelines that mirror your statuses, with a listing per property
Offers and transactions On the lead record and in transaction pipelines Deal properties in an acquisitions or dispositions pipeline
Buyers, agents, vendors List and details through the Open API Contacts and companies with a type and buying criteria
Call logs Per record through the Open API Calls on the timeline, with original dates and reps
Notes, texts, emails Per-record activity feed, tested with your key; otherwise a written request Notes, SMS messages and emails on the timeline
Tasks and appointments Appointments by date range; tasks tested or requested Meetings, and open tasks recreated with owners and due dates
Files and photos File list and download through the Open API Attachments on the deal and the listing
Campaigns, tags, custom fields Reference lists and fields on each record Properties you can report and filter on
Automations Inventoried with you, step by step Workflows, switched on only after you approve each one

What needs a workaround?

Three things, and we name them before we quote. REsimpli’s Open API has no notes or tasks endpoint and documents no response fields, so we test its per-record activity feed with your read-only key to see whether notes, texts and emails come back with their dates and authors. Call recordings are kept for as long as your REsimpli account is active, and REsimpli documents playing them, not a bulk download, so recordings are either retrieved and re-hosted or archived with links, which you choose. Anything the API does not reach goes into a written export request to REsimpli, which its terms allow for thirty days after cancelling.

How does the migration work?

Six steps. Your team keeps working in REsimpli until the day you choose to switch.

  1. Assessment

A 45-minute call about your pipelines, team and the history that matters. We ask for a read-only API key if you are on 6.0, or a pipeline export if not, and return a dated plan and a fixed quote.

  2. Test the history first

We pull a sample of leads through REsimpli’s per-record activity and call log endpoints to see exactly what comes back, before anything is promised.

  3. Extract everything into staging

Every record and every activity is pulled into a staging store and counted before mapping starts, so nothing depends on a second pass.

  4. Map and sign off

A field-by-field map of your data to HubSpot properties, pipelines and activity types, including what we recommend leaving behind. You approve it before anything loads.

  5. Load a sandbox and review

The full migration runs into a test portal. Your team opens real records and timelines, we fix and reload, and the counts are reconciled against the source.

  6. Cut over, then keep REsimpli read-only

A final load, users switched, forms and numbers pointed at HubSpot, and a signed reconciliation report. REsimpli stays available read-only until you cancel.

Each step ends with something you can check: a sample, a count, a signed-off map, a sandbox, a reconciliation report.

Can I keep my phone numbers?

Usually, with planning. REsimpli’s terms say its numbers are provisioned through Twilio under REsimpli’s account, and that port-out follows REsimpli’s procedures. HubSpot’s porting article says numbers from platforms that also use Twilio can move as a porting transfer without a letter of authorization, and that US ports take two to four weeks, so REsimpli numbers may qualify. We confirm it with both sides early and keep REsimpli active until every number has moved. The phone number guide has the detail.

What should I do before my REsimpli renewal date?

Book the assessment first, since everything else is scheduled back from your renewal. Legacy REsimpli pricing holds until your first renewal on or after November 1, 2026, and charges are not refunded once incurred, so a move that finishes a week after a renewal costs you a term. The pricing guide and the cancellation guide cover the dates and the order.

What does HubSpot look like for a REsimpli team?

Sellers, buyers and agents as contacts, a deal per property in acquisitions and dispositions pipelines, properties in HubSpot’s listings object, and every note, call and text on the timeline of both. HubSpot for real estate wholesalers walks through the model we build, including what comes from other tools.

More questions

How long does a REsimpli to HubSpot migration take?

It depends on volume, on how much history comes across, and on phone number porting, which HubSpot says takes two to four weeks for US numbers. The assessment gives you a dated plan, and your team keeps working in REsimpli until the day you switch.

How much does a REsimpli to HubSpot migration cost?

We quote a fixed price after the assessment, because the price turns on what REsimpli returns for your history and how much of it you want. Records alone cost less than a full history with activity, recordings and rebuilt automations.

Do I need REsimpli's Open API for the migration?

It helps a lot. The Open API is included on every REsimpli plan but only works on 6.0, and it reaches records and per-record activity that the in-app export does not. Without it we work from pipeline exports and a written export request to REsimpli.

Will my team lose anything in the move?

Not without knowing about it first. Everything is extracted and counted before mapping, loaded into a test portal your team reviews, and reconciled at cutover. Anything REsimpli does not expose is listed with the reason and the alternative before the quote.

Which HubSpot edition does a REsimpli team need?

Most land on Sales Hub Professional, because workflows and the custom report builder need a Professional edition. Calling works from Starter, and HubSpot's own SMS needs Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise with an add-on.

Can we keep using REsimpli while we move?

Yes. Most teams keep REsimpli live through the review and cutover, then read-only until the phone numbers have ported and any final export request is answered. Larger teams can run a short period of sync so new leads land in both.

Weighing a move to HubSpot?

Everything REsimpli’s API and exports reach, reconciled record by record, with your team working in REsimpli until the day you switch. We test the history before we quote.
